This series of arguments is relevant only to those that believe Adam and Eve were real people and the logical conclusions that they must face as the result of scientific discovery. More modern Christians have only recently begun taking a more liberal/ metaphoric approach to this story as the result of evidence to the contrary. If true however, that it's only metaphor, then there's no need for a redeemer. We shall see similarly below if Fundamentalists were to adopt Evolution. Now we can see the problem clearly.
| PRO BIBLICAL POSITION |
CON BIBLICAL POSITION |
| Many Christians believe that Adam & Eve are historical figures. |
* Modern science confirms that humanity didn't arise from two people. Population bottlenecking alone creates problems for this.
Because of “The Fall” of Adam & Eve, their descendants are born into sin.
There was no fall as there weren't two original people.
Because of sin, God sent Jesus to save us so that we may saved.
Since there were no two original people that fell, there was no original sin, therefore, no need for a redeemer.
To be saved is to go to Heaven to be with God/Jesus after death.
But since no redeemer (Jesus) was necessary. It doesn't logically follow that there is a Christian Heaven that you'll be going to.

Other Comparisons and Rebuttals:
“Well Jesus and Yahweh could still exist.”
As shown above, how and why? No fall, no need for Jesus. He'd have no role. No need to believe he exists. If one accepts that one of Yahweh's chief attributes was to create two sinless humans in a garden on Earth from which all humans derive. Then no, that version of Yahweh, cannot exist.

* The evidence for the evolution of all animals on this planet is overwhelming. I recommend one read my accompanying article here. However, let's look a few concrete evidences here:

Articles: Science: Australian platypus genome a link to evolution (Shinai_Gene)
| Most recent article: Australian platypus genome a link to evolution by: Shinai_Gene 2008-05-11 00:05:48 SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia's unique duck-billed platypus -- an egg-laying, furry animal with web feet that spends most of its time underwater -- is in fact part bird, part reptile and part mammal according to its gene map.
A team of international scientists released the platypus genome on Thursday, saying its complex sequence would aid the study of human evolution -- particularly the development of the immune, nervous and reproductive systems.
"Its probably the most eagerly awaited genome since the chimp genome because platypuses are so weird," said Jenny Graves, head the Comparative Genomics Group at the Australian National University.
"Comparing us with the platypus means that we can say something about our common ancestor, which was one of the earliest mammals, so that means that we can ask questions about what happened to make us mammals," said Graves, after a briefing on the platypus genome, published in the journal Nature.
The platypus represents the earliest offshoot of the mammalian lineage, some 166 million years ago, from primitive ancestors that had features of both mammals and reptiles.
