Does the concept of the "Mitochondrial Eve" or the "Y-Adam" lend credence to the Biblical account of creation? Let's see.
Note: I think he's incorrect about Neanderthals being a human species, they are Homo Neanderthalis. Humans and "Cavemen" share a common ancestor but thus far the evidences shows that there is a low probability that Humans and the Neanderthals mated. The evidence thus far does not support that Neanders are a sub-species of humans, but this idea hasn't been eradicated completely from scientific thought.
