If any of you had been watching the news yesterday, the media was following the rumor that a boy was stuck IN a weather balloon that had floated away from the family home where it was tethered.
Immediately I thought two things which none of the reporters on any channel seemed to catch. In watching the LIVE FEED, during the chase, I noticed that there WAS NO ENTRY door or flap on the balloon. SECONDLY, wouldn't the kid have suffocated with it being helium, EVEN IF it could have lifted him?
The reporters and rescue team THOUGHT that the kid was actually INSIDE! Any moron looking at it after 5 seconds would have seen that it would have been impossible.
I was admittedly thinking the worst, which fortunately didn't happen. I was thinking the kid untied it and clung to a tether and hung on too long and fell to his death. BUT when they found him hiding in the house, that made sense too.
WHAT BUGS THE SHIT OUT OF ME, is the media calling it a miracle? Since when is magic when a kid does something wrong, and hides because they are afraid of punishment from the parents?
A "miracle" would have been if he HAD been in the balloon and magically transported to the attic of his house.
It never ceases to amaze me how the media can turn the mundane into an ancient Greek tragedy.
Of course everyone is glad the kid is ok, BUT COME ON! |

Yeah I had thought that too, On CNN a correspondent noted that the balloon was tilting to the side and could not possibly do that with somebody inside of it exerting weight.
This also shows once again that wife Swap is bullshit |

Even if it wasn't a hoax, which the courts will decide.
WHAT PISSES ME OFF, even before the questioning happened and everyone was focused on saving the kid's life, the media was doing background stories on his "scientific back ground" WHERE they showed video of him at a computer pointing out land masses on mars where he claims that implied intelegently built structures.
That should have been a dead giveaway. NO ONE with a science background has seen that consperiacy Area 51 little green men crap and taken it seriously.
I am pissed at CNN showing him sitting at the computer calling him a scientist when he was nothing more than a "Ghost Hunter". |

I think it should be obvious that the hole fringe scientists / Storm chaser is a fake facade created by Mr Heene in order to make himself more marketable to tv producers, Mr Heene had become obsessed with ego and fame, The guy has no serious scientific credentials but he does have schooling in acting.
or maybe he is completely nuts and its not just an act? |

The balloon family get a cameo in the latest viral music video, using autotunes.

I had done some online work with Richard Heene several years ago. And I can tell you this, the things that he believed in and tried to use Science to justify them, was insane. As you seen within the media coverage, he clearly uses his entire family for personal gain and literally had them lived their lives as a "show"
Very, very sad. The sentence that he got was no where NEAR long enough! |
