Until there is forum for Freethoughtmedia.com hosts. So here it goes (clears his throat):

The Corrosion that is Orthodoxy. We present a Trilogy of Terror that includes the corruption of modern Buddhism, the strangled doctrine of reincarnation in early Christianity and Judaism, and the dark spirituality of the Jehovah Witness cult. It’s a triumvirate of hard hitting truths further revealing the blindness caused by literalism.

Nathaniel Merritt, author of ‘Jehovah Unmasked’ & ‘I Was a Teenage Jehovah Witness’ joins ‘Coffee, Cigarettes, & Gnosis’ this Sunday, November 19, at 3 PM PST/5 PM CST/6 PM EST at Freethoughtmedia.com. Just click the ‘now playing’ button under the banner.

Topics Discussed:

1.) On the corruption of Buddhism:

--How the original teachings of the Buddha more than likely did not include reincarnation, karma, and a few other doctrines Buddhists around the world take for granted.
--Evidence that reveals Buddhism, in its original context, was a nihilistic philosophy that didn’t believe in a soul (Atman) or even a Self that survived after death.
--The core tenets of the Buddha—as Gnostic and dualistic as they come. For example, Samsara and Nirvana are coexistent and eternal but always separated.
--The reality that Buddhism is a misogynistic religion, far from the teaching of the mythic Buddha.
--The Bodhisattva Vow—the biggest joke played on its believers and only known to be false by the enlightened ones?

2.) On the strangled doctrine of reincarnation in early Christianity and Judaism:
--Evidence that not only the Gnostics, but a large amounts of early Christians and Jews believed in the transmigration of the souls.
--Where to find reincarnation in Gnostic Scripture, apocrypha and the writings of the Church Fathers.
--Where to find irrefutable evidence of reincarnation in the Bible itself that not even the staunchest Christian Apologist can refute.
--Why did the Church decided to exterminate this world-wide held faith and how they went about it.

3.) On the dark spirituality of the Jehovah Witness Cult:

--How it lulls, converts and keeps members under a veil of fear.
--Its radical doctrines that are borderline un-Christian.
--How it corrupts even the corrupted Bible and rewrites its history to keep the flock tended (including the various times it missed the end of the world).
--The Watchtower’s draconian, mind-control methods and extortion that keep its members in check and would make Papa Stalin proud.
--Like other denominations, the fact that the Jehovah Witnesses are plagued by and repress child molestation, rape and other scandals.
--Nathaniel’s nightmare years in the cult and how he was saved by becoming…uh…a born again Christian? Okay…I think it has a happier ending than this…

We’ll learn how the virus of Literalism and Orthodoxy is an equal opportunity offender that can spread to any ideology or any corner of the world. Part of being a Gnostic is always, with a critical eye, looking under the hood of any and every dogma. Nothing is sacred but the painful truth.

Nathaniel will be with us in the Freethoughtmedia.com chatroom. If you have any questions, issues, or comments please join us or send him an email through my homepage. He is always ready to interact, especially when it comes to the lost ways of Buddhism.

This week’s rebroadcast at 12PM EST/2PM CST/3PM EST is the main event of last week that was hampered by technical difficulties because of an overhauling at Freethoughtmedia. Acharya S., author of ‘The Christ Conspiracy’ and ‘Suns of God’ takes on Apollonius of Tyana, one of the greatest figures of antiquity and perhaps the blueprint for the Orthodox Jesus and Saint Paul himself. Come and find out more. As an added bonus, Acharya will also be in the Freethoughtmedia.com chatroom, so please join us with any questions on mythology, astrotheology, or the cancer of Orthodox religions. Like Nathan, she is a bonafide Buddhist scholar, but she can also deconstruct Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism and even Gnosticism.

Next week is another Gnostic Father and also one of the Patriarchs of all Mystic and Esoteric Schools in The West. He’s the man who coined the word ‘philosophy’, originated the great Mystery Schools of Orpheus and Dionysus, and first used mathematics and music as tools for enlightenment. His teachings influenced all the great Greek Philosophers, as well as many Gnostic, Christian and Jewish thinkers, such as Philo of Alexandria. It’s none other than Pythagoras. You’ll be surprised what this man believed and taught beyond the legends and history.

It’s never any rest of the wicked, my beloved Truthseekers!

Reminder-- both Acharya S. and Nathaniel Merritt will be in the chatroom today for their respective shows. Make an appearance and ask away to either one about the Jesus Myth, Buddhism, Gnosticism Astrotheology, the rise of the dark Christian Church and more. Hope to see you guys there!

My pleasure. Still looking for a cool symbol instead of a name. Anyway, here is this week's show:

A proto-Gnostic & Mystic Master: Not only might have he given you fits in your high school geometry class, this mysterious figure coined the word ‘philosophy’, was initiated in the Orphic & Egyptian Mysteries, understood the universe as a harmony of music, math and magic, and founded perhaps the first egalitarian, ascetic cadre of freethinkers in the West. He influenced most of the greatest philosophers of Greece, including Plato. Whether in history or in legendry, this man is one of the main grandfathers of most esoteric schools of thought our culture. You know him simply as Pythagoras.

Astral Guest: Charles H. Kahn, author of ‘Pythagoras and the Pythagoreans: A Brief History’ and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania joins ‘Coffee, Cigarettes, & Gnosis’ this Sunday, November 26, at 3 PM PST/5 PM CST/6 PM EST at Freethoughtmedia.com. Just click the ‘now playing’ button under the banner.

Topics Discussed:

--The origins and history of Pythagoras, who arguable established the first ever ‘cult’ in Western Society.
--His influence on Greek Philosophy, Gnosticism, Christianity and Judaism, and later Renaissance Philosophy.
--The various doctrines of the Pythagoreans, never seen before in the classic Greek world, including reincarnation, vegetarianism, egalitarianism, and more that were later adopted by the Gnostics, Mystic Jews and Mediterranean Mystery Schools.
--The influence of Pythagoras on modern science, including history-changing thinkers who were influenced by him.
--The reality that, like all proto-Messiahs and Messengers of Light, Pythagoras was despised and rebuked during his turn at the wheel.
--Did the Cult of Orpheus influence Pythagoras or did he influence this mysterious brotherhood.
--Separating the legendary figure from the historical man.
--The shocking truth behind the Pythagorean Theorem and his other mathematical discoveries.
--The parallels between Pythagoras and the ‘historical’ Jesus.

Pythagoras represents the balanced thinker, the history-altering genius, an indicivual who understood that the sacred and the secular were one and the same, that science and magic didn’t have to be at odds, that the natural was supernatural and the supernatural was natural. It’s a pity atheists or theists can’t understand this these days.

Next week it’s The Serpent & The Goddess. They are also known as Eve & The Snake, Ophine & Euronyme, Jesus & Mary Magdalene, Arthur Penndragon & Guinevere and several other archetypal, mythical and mystic consorts that have been suppressed for thousands of years. Yet this primordial syzygy reveals not only the path to gnosis, but the heart into the secrets of the Holy Grail, the Temple of Solomon, the Knights Templar and so much more. Astral Guest: Philip Gardiner, best-selling author of ‘Gnosis: The Secrets of Solomon’s Temple Revealed’, ‘The Shining Ones’ & ‘Secrets of The Serpent’.

This week’s rebroadcast is ‘Coffee, Cigarettes & Gnosis #13: The Thomas Gospel Affair’. Everything you need to know to delve into the most influential Gnostic Scripture: The Gospel of Thomas. Our guest was David F. Capps, author of 'The Gospel of Thomas: A Blue Print For Spiritual Growth'. The Show starts at 11:30AM PST/1:30 CST/2:30 EST.

It’s The Serpent & The Goddess. They are also known as Eve & The Snake, Ophine & Euronyme, Jesus & Mary Magdalene, Arthur Penndragon & Guinevere and several other archetypal, mythical and mystic consorts that have been suppressed for thousands of years. Yet this primordial syzygy reveals not only the path to gnosis, but the heart into the real yet symbolical secrets of the Holy Grail, the Temple of Solomon, the Knights Templar and so much more.

Philip Gardiner, best-selling author of ‘Gnosis: The Secrets of Solomon’s Temple Revealed’, ‘The Shining Ones’ & ‘Secrets of The Serpent’ joins ‘Coffee, Cigarettes, & Gnosis’ this Sunday, December 3, at 3 PM PST/5 PM CST/6 PM EST at Freethoughtmedia.com. Just click the ‘now playing’ button under the banner.

Topics Discussed:

--The necessary importance the snake mythic image and worship that ruled across all ancient civilizations, from Mesoamerica to India. And why it’s so vital to the psyche of any civilization.
--Why the Gnostics’ version of The Garden of Eden is more accurate than the Orthodox farce.
--Some of the rituals and habits of the Ophite Sect (the snake worshipping Gnostics).
--The campaign of destruction against the divine snake and his consort, the primordial goddess and mother of all life.
--The oracular truth of the serpent that lies behind several myths of our times, including Saint Patrick and the snakes, Solomon and The Queen of Sheba, Robin Hood and Lady Marian, Arthur and Guinevere, Jesus and Eve, and several more.
--Philip’s powerful wisdom on unleashing the serpent within, the kundalini, which can thrust one up to a higher state of consciousness.
--How the Serpent and the Goddess are still found in several places in the Canonical Bible (and how they are abundant in Gnostic Scripture).
--The ubiquitous symbol of the Cross, far older than Jesus, and how it relates to the Serpent and The Goddess.

Jethro Tull sang ‘he who made kittens put snakes in the grass’. It’s the snakes that are the universal symbol of divine wisdom, almost lost to mankind in the West because of Orthodoxy’s brutal censorship. When we’re done, you’ll be seeing snakes everywhere and thus seeing your own divine nature.

Next week we discuss Shamanism & drug use in Judaism, Early Christianity & Gnosticism: New, cutting edge scholarship revealing that entheogens and hallucinogens were utilized by ancient priesthoods in the Mediterranean to commune with The Divine. We also delve into Shamanism, ancient and modern, the various and useless Wars of Drug throughout history, and the herbs, plants and mushrooms that can alter one’s state of consciousness and facilitate gnosis. We also clear up the name of the controversial yet brilliant John Allegro. Astral Guests: Jan Irvin & Andrew Rutajit, authors of ‘Astrotheology & Shamanism, Unveiling the Law of Duality in Christianity and Other Religions.’

Our rebroadcast at 12PM EST/2 PM CST/3PM EST is ‘Coffee, Cigarettes & Gnosis #2—Raiders of the Lost Hermes’. Our guest was Dr. Stephan Hoeller, author of 'Gnosticism, a New Light on an Ancient Tradition', ‘The Gnostic Jung’ & ‘Fool’s Pilgrimage’, as well as Bishop of the Ecclesia Gnostica in LA. Besides being an itrodoctury course on Gnosticism, Hoeller reveals several other important and overlooked facts about our friends the Gnostics:

--How Gnosticism (specifically Hermetism) influenced the founding of the USA and much of the Enlightenment Age.
--Why the secular forces are not enough to combat raging fundamentalism without the help of a spiritual revival akin to Gnosticism.
--The positive impact of 'The Da Vinci Code'.
--The Gospel of Judas.
--How new revelation might soon transform CG Jung from a clinical psychologist into a Gnostic prophet.

If you think I sound bad now, wait until you hear my second ever show. And my mastery at technology and mixing audio was something else!

Thank you. Phil was great. Since he's done over 400 radio interviews, all I had to do was sit back let him take the wheel.

I love guests like that! Laughing

Shamanism & drug use in Judaism, early Christianity & Gnosticism.

Jan Irvin & Andrew Rutajit., authors of ‘Astrotheology & Shamanism, Unveiling the Law of Duality in Christianity and Other Religions.’ join ‘Coffee, Cigarettes, & Gnosis’ this Sunday, December 10, at 3 PM PST/5 PM CST/6 PM EST at Freethoughtmedia.com. Just click the ‘now playing’ button under the banner.

Topics discussed:

--The origins, evolution & ideology of Shamanism (and how it’s been misunderstood in our New Age era).
--The reality that Judaism and Christianity, like most religions, were fertility, solar cults who utilized entheogens in a widespread manner. It just wasn’t the priest who partook of the ‘funny herbs’, mon.
--Clues in the Bible, Gnostic texts and the Judeo/Christian tradition that point to the positive usage of entheogens and hallucinogens.
--How the war on drugs (which is also the war on the Goddess) began hundreds of years before Christ with a changing Jewish Priesthood, fanned out into the Christian worldview centuries later, and continues today with the same nefarious intentions.
--The spiritual and scientific effects of using certain entheogens such as mushroom, natural LSD and cannabis.
--Redeeming John Allegro and his controversial discoveries of The Dead Sea Scrolls. (Jesus is a Mushroom…whadda ya gonna do?)

And much more!

Gnostics have always been accused of being ‘out there’. But ‘out there’ often means an inward journey into the wellspring of gnosis.

Next week we take a journey into Islamic Gnosticism—Sufism, the Sufis and the Persian Poets. We also analyze new, never seen-before translations of Rumi and other great mythmakers that give a new dimension to their wisdom. Astral Guest: David Fideler, author of ‘Love Alchemy: Poem’s From the Sufi Tradition’ & ‘Jesus Christ Sun of God’.

The rebroadcast this Sunday at 12PM EST/2 PM CST/3PM EST is ‘Coffee, Cigarettes & Gnosis #3—The Passion of The Sophia’. Our guest was Stevan Davies, Author of 'The Secret Book of John, A Gnostic Gospel' & 'The Gospel of Thomas & Christian Wisdom'. We delve into the Gnostic origins and cosmology, as well as these topics:

--The Secret Book of John, as well as The Gospel of Thomas and how it stacks up to the Canon and Gnosticism itself.
--The possibility and likelihood that early Gnosticism and Syrian mysticism influenced Eastern religions, and not the other way around as we have been taught.
--Why Gnosticism is here to stay and what to do about it.

Gnosticism can easily be summarized by reading saying #18 from The Gospel of Thomas:

The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us how our end will be."
Jesus said, "Have you discovered, then, the beginning, that you look for the end? For where the beginning is, there will the end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning; he will know the end and will not experience death."

God went crazy when he lost his Wisdom and became us. Are a few good shrooms and Persian poetry enough to fix this? Stay tuned.
