Well.. I can't seem to find a job to save my ass, literally. I have been searching and applying for over 4 months straight. Nothing! After the background check is done and they see my activist efforts, it's toast.. or I'm over-qualified or I'm not qualified enough, too far away.. or.. it's a damned scam!
There was a huge error with where I live. They made 2 whooping mistakes that essentially is forcing me to move. I have no where for my children and I to live. Well
me
anyway. I suppose the kids will have to go back with their mother.
As a result.. I am heavily considering going back into the Army or some other military branch. I need money, benefits, school and training badly. Hopefully, I can get back in. I have nothing else anymore.
Seems like everyone is hurting, and my show is no exception. I have lost over half of my subscriber base due to this economy. I am considering filing bankruptcy but I may be in Iraq or Afghanistan before the filing would even get to a judge.
I am running out of options here.
All of my sites should remain up and once I get settled at my new duty station, I should be able to pick back up the show. I should be able to do a few more shows before all of this happens. Hopefully I'll get that magic call before any of this is necessary.
Thanks for hanging in there with me over the years. Hopefully, I'll be able to continue it.
Just keeping you all informed about what's been going on on this end. |

Reggie, what can we do to help? Hell I have a full basement w/bedroom and computer space you could move up here. My wife and I can put you up and help with the kids too as we have two already...
My website is one way you can get started to make some money..see below and well what ever I can think of else to help you. call me IM or anything. Can I post my phone number?
I have christian family( a few sisters who live there in GA),ya know the bible belt, but she lives in Fayetteville. Maybe a temp situation but I can ask her to put ya up for a few. I think she has two houses. Well anyways I've been a member for over several years.
It says I'm a newbie, not in the least! We've talked several times before and we talked about some deep issues on my-space. Won't you consider moving up here to Minnesota and yeah it's so cold here but warm inside our home where we'd welcome you better than family! So call. |

Reggie,
I left the country because the economy sucks. I applied to TSA and other places because I couldn't find a good job where I lived. I ended up here in Korea teaching kids English. Now, that's an interesting job and the pay wasn't bad before the value of the WON started going down. I don't pay housing but only utilities, and I get rather cheap medicines and pretty good medical.
I almost joined the AF reserves before I came here, but joining the reserves isn't helpful when you need money full time. Too bad I only make around 21,000 here.
If you want to teach there are tons of opportunities overseas. You only need a Bachelor's.

And that's my major problem. I don't have a degree. I never quite made enough to go to school and my credit wasn't the best either. I guess this is my only option. I feel like I wasted so much time of my life. |

No way man. Even though I only recently joined the forum, I have been listening to you for a while. You have helped so many people. I for one had no one to share/help me explore alternative thinking concerning religion. You're show has brought to me a feeling that I was exploring with others; it has been a guide.
Have you looked in to applying for education grants? Is there not something specific to Army retiree's you can utilize? Are there any other retired military benefits you can take advantage of to assist with getting the bachelors? |

After doing some quick research, it looks like there are really good paid schooling options for graduate schools. So it seems that you might need to get the bachelor's first. If you do the Army thing, you could live in a BOQ for a bit to save some money. At the same time, you can use that money to get your bachelors (I saw some good programs offering up to 25% off for military). As soon as you secure that Bachelors, you can jump into a program like the various military Post Graduate Schools to get your master/doctorate fully funded. On the other hand, you can go the civilian route, which have a few positions that pay for your graduate schooling while you work.

You don't need a degree to make money, simply having a job skill can get your foot in the door.
I don't have more than a certificate in drafting and make over 60K a year.
My offer stands. |

That's a really shitty situation IG.
I've been very much broke for the past year or two so I wasn't able to subscribe. Now that I have a decent job I can become a gold member again, but it probably won't help much to improve your situation
Good luck, man. Just don't give up. |
