Sunday is a day of doubt. Put on your best clothes, pray, read Sartre, sing hymns of doubt and know less than anyone. Doubt all you know.

Doubt is the new religion. It has many zealot followers. There is less guilt in the religion of doubt. Little doubt it is the way to save you from a life of knowledge. Knowledge is evil. Doubt is a blessing.

Doubt is the greatest gift we give ourselves. Doubt is holy, sacred. Dear to all we don't know.

Quick to doubt. Doubting everything. Omnipresent doubt. Believers in doubt. Knowing less is knowing more. We should pray for more doubt. That way we can be redeemed by doubt.

Do you doubt that doubt is your savior? Doubt has come to save your soul.

What is this tripe?

Is this a mundain attempt by a PC person to attack skeptics? Are you the PC theist or atheist with the same mantra that conflict always leads to violence?

They disagree with us and we disagree with them. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. But, just as we know sticking people in ovens wont solve a conflict, I am sure most humans SHOULD agree.

I am a bit miffed at your title. Of course we should doubt. It is what prevents us from buying a car from a used car salesmen. It is what makes us put the mail titled "You may already have won" in the paper shreader.

It seems to be that you are implying that skeptics have their fundys too. To imply that atheists are flawed human beings is redundant. DUH! CALL CNN!

BUT that admission that we fart, pay taxes and will die like any other human, or are subject to the same psychology, is pointless.

God belief/ superstition/ magical beings, are something that history has failed to substaniate and are as worthy of intellectual respect as Harry Potter(if one where to claim as real). That is not being mean, that is called being honest.

I'm having my doubts about you Ernest Wink

Could there be a hidden agenda here in this doubtful riddle? I wonder.

Here's to the doubters who mislead themselves. And misguided find happiness in doubt. Faith in doubt, the rigid following of their deepest reservations shall save them...

A national day of doubt has been planned. Doubt Day. The banks will be closed. There will be no delivery of mail. Next week people will enjoy their doubts. They will read existentialists like Sartre. They will entertain new ideas contrary to their own.

They will reconsider everything, all their beliefs. What is held to be true will be suspended momentarily. So they can rethink. Start fresh. Getting acquainted with their doubt and know less than what they knew yesterday. Doubt all they know.

Now that doubt is a new religion for a small portion of society. Though has always had its devoted followers. All of us have doubts. Small doubts, great doubts. Doubts that nag at us. Doubts that spur us on to find out more. Why not make doubt a holiday? And doubt together as a nation. As the world.

We could get time off from work to doubt? A national holiday for doubt would give us impetus for serious contemplation. The doubts we have, if exposed, might lend us a renewed energy and commitment to what we trully believe.

If we made of doubt a denomination, we gather together and share out doubts. There is less guilt in the religion of doubt. Little doubt it is the way to save you from a life of knowledge. Knowledge can be a drawback. Facts deceive us. They are evil. The Devil is in the details. Doubt is a blessing.

Doubt is the greatest gift we give ourselves. Doubt is holy, sacred. Dear to all we don't know. And more. Doubts are what we receive when we think careful, scrutinize, weigh all sides. Doubt is a wish for impartiality. And not taking sides. we see things we wouldn't see otherwise.

Quick to doubt. Doubting everything. Omnipresent doubt. Believers in doubt. Knowing less is knowing more. We should pray for more doubt. That way we can be redeemed by doubt.

Do you doubt that doubt is your savior? Doubt has come to save your soul. Doubt is a form of prayer, of worship and praise of not knowing.

"To admire superior sense, and doubt their own!" --Pope.
"I doubt not that however changed, you keep So much of what is graceful." --Tennyson.

-- To doubt not but. "I do not doubt but I have been to blame." Dryden. "We doubt not now But every rub is smoothed on our way." Shakespeare.

In some instances we have no doubt to prevent us from believing.

Doubt is a fluctuation of mind arising from defect of knowledge or evidence; uncertainty of judgment or mind; unsettled state of opinion concerning the reality of an event, or the truth of an assertion, etc.; hesitation. "Doubt is the beginning and the end of our efforts to know."
--Sir W. Hamilton.

You can't have faith in doubt. Faith is there to remove doubt from things you should by all rights be doubtful of.

Doubt is merely a reflection of the desire to not be victimized by lies, mistakes and falsehoods.

Doubt is a prayer. Like the Lord's Prayer. Doubt gives us inspiration. Doubt will save us from a life of knowledge.

Without a doubt and you're doomed to the truth. Certainty is Hell. Believe in doubt, trust in not knowing. It will never let you down.

Hint: There is never any point. Just a process. A cycle. A ritual of inquiry that leads to itself. And oh, yes, more doubt.

Discovery of doubt will save your soul. Heaven is for doubters. Hell is for those who know it all.

Apparently certainty has made you fond of talking to walls.

The powers of the doubter are many. The doubter can turn water into wine. The doubter can walk on water. Raise the dead.

All that is required is to doubt. Believe that every doubt is superior to ever codicil of the church.

Have faith in doubt and you shall be rewarded eternal doubt. The next life is in doubt. Save yourself and doubt everything.

Everything you read, everything you see, everything you hear should be doubted. And you more you doubt the closer you come to the conclusion that nothing means anything.

That doubt is the truth. The eternal reward for the doubter.

I get the impression that Ernest believes that skepticism = post modernism.

Poor Ernest.

Having doubts means the doubter is thinking.

Thinking scares him.
