When things are going hard for Reggie and he's not able to produce the shows we'd all (well most of us) like to hear, he seems to take a lot of grief. Well, the new site works great and he’s producing regular shows again with good content and putting them up in a timely manner for us paid members. I just think he deserves a little pat on the back and a good job.
Cheers Reggie |

aww.. thanks... I think I may have found a co-host for the show as well. I'll keep you posted. She's beautiful, feisty and new to freethought but eager to learn, dedicated, has the time and doesn't agree with me on everything - which is good. She's a kind of deist which should make some interesting chemistry.
This is what she looks like..
5 ladies and two guys have applied thus far. She is in the lead because honestly, she's kept more in touch with me and I'm impressed with her as well. I think some of her ideas are well.. strange.. but I can tell that she's open to change if things are explained to her a certain way.
We are working on a stage name although she may already use her current Pen name. I won't post it here until we know for sure. We start doing some mock shows today.
Wish us luck. |

Thanks all. I'm still auditioning. A few have bailed. Am I too picky for taking pause at bringing someone on that believes in Numerology and Astrology? |

As kooky as I think those ideologies are, I'd suppose it'd depend on the person and the actual dynamic you two would create on the air. While general agreement among the hosts might good, some disagreement might spice things up a bit too.
Your audience probably not only wants to be informed, but also entertained. I remember a show on the old atheist network with Abraxus and someone else (sorry I can’t remember the name of the show or the other persons handle). Those two were not only informative but also very entertaining. I think a dynamic similar to that would take your already good show to another level. You may not find that person on the first or even tenth attempt, but I do think a co-host is a good idea and something you should continue to pursue. |

Spice? I don't mind some spice. But numerology and astrology? I mean.. my co-host should be able to represent me and my efforts when I'm away. Not running an Art Bellesque program in my absence. That would be rather embarrassing for the program if you guys call in and destroy her on the air due to her lack of intra and extra critical analysis. I'm not bringing on a co-host to debate with or embarrass. Sure we'll have some disagreements. But should I bring someone on with full knowledge that they cannot critically think? I don't think that would be good for what we have built-up for almost a decade. |

I was unaware this co-host would be running programs in your absence, so you're probably right on here.

It'd probably send her running to the hills screaming

You're certainly in the best position to make that determination. |

Totally agreed. Good on Reggie, long live IG and look forward to beautiful & interesting new host.
I've heard things on IG I couldn't have heard anywhere else & Reggie has articulated some things I've noticed but never thought about thoroughly enough myself. One of my favorites is his "Is heaven the sky ?". I love the format; a dialogue with oneself, going over the problem almost as though we can hear his thoughts. And it's great because he's done his research and thought it all through. |
