Hey all, welcome back to infidelguy.com. I didn't realize that it's been two years since dismantling ig.com and expanding with developing 4 new sites.

Some of you may remember that I originally split up the site for 3 major reasons.

1.) The flow of the forums appeared to start becoming more and more hardcore atheistic "only" thought. As a result, Atheistforums.com was born. Now however, I think many of the atheists there treat believers nicer than when the forums were here.

2.) I couldn't handle the traffic. The server was bogged down constantly and no relief was in site. Breaking up and simplifying the site was the only option I had at the time as I couldn't not afford an upgrade.

3.) Lastly, I was attempting to diversify my influence. Worked for a short while, but now it's time to come home.

I welcome you all back home. My server is far more powerful than the last (prices finally came down), and I have more bandwidth.

It's good to be close to our original setup.

The site is looking awesome so far Reggie; makes me feel sort of nostalgic. It’d be nice to have an active forum under your main website again.

I just got used to the new site but am eager to get re-aqquainted with the new format.

Hi gang.. we are working on getting avatars back, a chat room back up and running, full moderation, video and shows, gold memberships and more.. just stand by.. you will see big changes daily.

Hell I need some volunteers now... to begin posting topics, resurrecting others, spreading the word.. adding videos.. finding shows that are not downloading (i.e. non-existent), and also suggestions.

I do NOT know the status of the irc chat yet or when all shows will be added or the status of the podcast.

This is how you should have left it, I think it was a mistake to separate everything, especially the forum, I lost my motivation to post when that happened. The last design of your site was horrible, I had to have firefox re-skin most of it for me (it was that bad, all dark and depressing). Glad its returning to the old style that I used to enjoy.

It wasn't a mistake per se' I didn't have much choice as I couldn't afford the upgraded servers and bandwidth. Luckily... they brought the price down as they have a new inventory.

I didn't like it either. Did you see me posting? Smile

I'm glad this is back for two reasons:

(1) When I was going to atheistforums all the time I wasn't checking ig.com hardly at all and therefore was missing out on all sorts of great content

(2) When I'm using someone else's computer or am using my work computer during my lunch break I'm uncomfortable having "ATHEIST FORUMS" in huge letters at the top of my browser. "INFIDELGUY" might raise an eyebrow but its much less likely to upset a religious person. When I'm at work or at a fundy relatives house I really want to avoid bringing up religion (or a lack thereof) in any way. In general, I like to avoid all religious topics in a work or family environment purely because it keeps the peace.

Its good to be back at the IG forums!
