I think we should distinguish between science and technology here, and say that the technology is the "HOW."
Thank you. It may seem pedantic to some. But science produces knowledge and knowledge alone creates no harm. People like myself and others see science as the logically strongest way to produce knowledge and don't think it should be disparaged simply for the pursuit of knowledge.
