I just watched Bill O'Crappy interview Dawkins. According to O'Crappy atheists are fascists because we refuse to allow science to be bastardized and reduced to comic book status.
Both O'Crappy and Dawkins agree that there is a gap in human knowledge. But O'Crappy is calling Dawkins falsely a fascist because he rightfully asserts that gaps should not be filled with superstition or naked assertions.
O'Crappy has every right from a government standpoint from the protection of free speech to assert the absurd notion that an invisible non-material magical brain exists. DAWKINS is not objecting to human rights. He is merely defending the quality control that scientific method demands in replication and falsification.
Dawkins is no more a fascist than he would be if he said that Allah or Vishnu are not good to fill in the gap. O'Reilly is merely pissed acting like a child being told Santa isn't real and that the presents in reality come from the parents.
O'Reilly cant get over the fact that there is absolutely NO EVIDENCE for invisible non-material magical superman brains BY ANY NAME, much less his god claim.
Too bad. Dawkins is as fair to your god claim in regards to evidence as he should be if I claimed I could fart a full sized Lamborghini out of my ass.
Calling Dawkins a fascist is the same immature attitude that the church had when Galileo stated the truth that the earth rotated around the sun and that it was not flat.
The earth was not made in 6 days. You will not get a harem in a fictional after life if you blow yourself up. And the sun is not a giant orange brain.
So if a kid wants to believe that 1+1=78, anyone stating the truth of 1+1=2 must be a fascist as well.
No one is telling O'Crappy he can't make absurd claims. What he cannot do is falsely cry fascism and cry like a baby when someone merely points out the truth. |

I happened to see this vid, what struck me the most was Dawkin's control, something he got picked up on in the past.
Dawkins;
"Just because science has a gap in its knowledge, that does not entitle you to turn to any other particular alternative. Pick on a better science"
O'Reilly;
"No, that's... that's fascism..."
Slipping into the 'fascist' position just tipped O'Reill'd-up over into the ridiculous. Good 'ol teach the (manufactured) controversy. Think I'll go & order my '
Steves
' T-shirt.  |

In other words, "We don't know something, therefore God did it." Why does O'Shyster think that somehow makes him look smart? Well, I guess he does to the moronic Christians who hang on his every word. |
