Hi all:
My name is Scott and I've been an atheist since about age 11. I'm now 29 and have only recently gathered up enough courage to admit to friends and family that I really don't believe in god.
I used to go to church (and other varied places of worship) thinking "ok maybe I'll find god here" but alas, after the honeymoon period was over I would feel as unfulfilled as I did before.
I tried to believe in god I really did but....
It wasn't till I read The God Delusion till I realized that I wasn't alone in my unbelief and so here I am godless and finally happy. |

Hi, Scott!
There is no way one can feel unfulfilled as an atheist XD !
I think I can safely say that naturalism has an unbelievable intellectually enriching effect! Contrary to religion, there are no answers for everything, but the answers we have are so much deeper (and most of all true!). Plus, not-knowing is a really good motivator...
But I'm sure you know what I mean if you read the God Delusion . |
