No one wants to go to hell. Hell promises to be a place of eternal torment in a lake of fire. We all want to go to heaven, where we can experience God's love, peace and happiness for eternity. Therefore, in the Bible, the Lord jesus gives us clear instructions on how to inherit eternal life. He gives us eight steps that we must take to get to heaven. In this short video we examine the eight steps so that you can prepare your eternal soul to enter the heavenly kingdom of God when you die.
Dr. Schambaugh, of the University of Oklahoma School of Chemical Engineering, Final Exam question for May of 1997. Dr. Schambaugh is known for asking questions such as, "why do airplanes fly?" on his final exams. His one and only final exam question in May 1997 for his Momentum, Heat and Mass Transfer II class was:
"Is hell exothermic or endothermic? Support your answer with proof".
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following:
---
"First, We postulate that if souls exist, then they must have some mass. If they do, then a mole of souls can also have a mass. So, at what rate are souls moving into hell and at what rate are souls leaving? I think we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell, it will not leave.
Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for souls entering hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, then you will go to hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and souls go to hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in hell to increase exponentially.
Now, we look at the rate of change in volume in hell. Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in hell to stay the same, the ratio of the mass of souls and volume needs to stay constant.
Two options exist:
-If hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, then the temperature and pressure in hell will increase until all hell breaks loose.
-If hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until hell freezes over.
So which is it?
If we accept the quote given to me by Theresa Manyan during Freshman year, “that it will be a cold night in hell before I sleep with you” and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, hell is already frozen so the only way we can go is Heaven and that should explain why she was constantly screaming 'Oh my God'".
The student, Tim Graham, got the only A.

But what if souls don't have mass? This kid got an A by assuming that souls have mass.
Pigs fly. Let me do the math on that one, and I bet I could get a passing grade by offering options based on an unproven premise.

you have to assume something in order to make a hypotheses duderonomy. This (suppossed) student simply assumed they did and its a logical assumption too since everything else has mass.
That's why there's no such thing as anything "supernatural" for if it's real then it's actually "natural" any.

Roboetc...
Do your thoughts have mass? Does your post even exist? How much does your post weigh?
My hypothesis is based on the assumtion that souls, being spiritual, have no mass as we know it; as no one has ever found a way to measure the spiritual weight of a human soul, including the student that only postulated
that human souls must have mass.
Can anything have mass without posing an imposition upon a gravitational field somewhere? Can this be measured, and if so, has it been?
With actual souls?
So then, did this teacher give this student a top grade based on empirical evidence, or a viable theory, or something else?

I hope people reading this caught the websites at the end. Welcome to the forums btw.

If we could isolate the neurons through which your question passed, we could determine with good accuracy what your thought weighed. How much the post weighs is a similar question, as the bits and bytes to which the text is encoded exist on the computer of everyone who reads it. The weight of the encoding on the hardrives of all who read the post is your answer.
All mass exerts gravity. Rather than say this is proven, I will say in the most scientific manner that no examples of mass without gravity have ever been observed. Gravity is tied directly to the mass in question and decreases with distance away from the mass. Gravity appears to be a basic property of mass. There is no need to wonder about mass producting gravity 'somewhere'. Gravity is maximal where the mass is located and decreases with distance.
No one has ever found a way to determine if we even have souls or if there is even any such thing. It is rather pointless to wonder what the qualities of a soul are if there are none. With this in mind, he was equally as correct to say souls have mass as you are to say they don't.

Humorously, I didn't come here to say any of that. What got my attention was that nobody can get into heaven. I am writing an essay on the role of psychic vampirism western religion.
Not only is it internally true that no one can get into heaven. It is essential to the structure of many religions. A basic doctrine is that everyone falls short of perfection. Another basic doctrine, however, is that one is to always seek perfection. In other words the adherent is supposed to spend his entire life on a task that he is told from the beginning cannot be achieved. This is the broth that the soup of all western organized religion (and many other religions besides; many forms of Buddhism too for example) soaks in, the perfect recipe for guilt. The intended message: merely existing is criminal. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't. The effect of this is to draw the believer farther into the web rather than push him away because religion promises to be the solution, when it is in fact the cause of the problem it purports to solve. This is where psychic vampirism comes in.
It is typical for psychologically defaced and damaged people to seek to spread the feeling to others. It is the bully dynamic, the attempt to weaken or hide self-loathing by instilling it in others in a doomed attempt to prop oneself up, but is not necessarily though can be tied to overt physical abuse. If the damage is physical one is called abusive or a bully. If the damage is not overtly physical, it is psychic vampirism. And despite there being no bruises the damage is just as real and more often than not lasts much longer than the damage done by physical abuse.
If the abuse is successful enough, the abused becomes the abuser, himself now in need of artificial propping up to stave off self-loathing. Thus the religion propagates.
Anyway, this just gives an idea of what I'm working on.

hi kmisho,
Actually the problem you are pointing out is exactly the point of Christianity. At least it is for Reformed Christianity which holds as Luther said "Salvation by Grace through Faith." Holiness doctrines have departed from that over the years and in a way re-introduced a form of Catholicism back.
The problem I have with both grace and works doctrine is that they rest on a premise which isn't in the biblical texts and was not a part of Jewish theology they claim to have a fulfilled prophecy for. - Original Sin, heaven, and hell are not Jewish teachings but later Zorastrian and Greek ones. What Christianity did was write up a bunch of beliefs then went searching for texts to twist to fit them instead of the other way around.
My point is have you considered that the impossibility of achieving perfection is the very point of Christianity? So the "vampiric" part of it is getting people to believe they are evil inheritors of some magical "original sin" which they need saved from despite their bible actually saying they already are anyway (John 3:16).
