I was scrubbing a rug outdoors, listening to some old pod casts of the infidel guy and was surprised to hear that it had been recorded on his birthday which is today!  and so, decided: I'll join up and say hi, HB and go and download some newer shows.
I really appreciate the work you put into this website and radio show. I know what is involved keeping something like this going.
As for me, let's just say, after much thought and deliberation, i have moved from agnostic to realist= atheist. It has taken most of my 50+ years and am happy that my doubting days are over. I am lucky to live in a society that tolerates people like me and that i feel no repercussion if i mention my non-religious status. If it ever gets "iffy", as with more conservative crowd, my saying that i am "agnostic" will dissipate any tension. (although it is a mere euphemism, the word
atheist
can still evoke negative prejudice from some)
I might not post very much in the forums, but will stop in from time to time to see what's new.

Happy Birthday IG. I am delighted to learn that you are young. You still have the energy and time to keep up the good work. And good work it is.
I have been so busy with the Blacks and Religion thread I haven't had time to see a video or listen to a broadcast. But I will soon.
But I did go gold. Happy birthday. $8.50 buys you a birthday cheeseburger and fries.
