It upsets me so much that people are so blind. At least the church is donating a bit to charity though.

This is the self centeredness of the theist, "Look at how good I am". It is a NO DUH that giving can be good. But when people ascribe that good quality in humans to a magical fictional being, it makes me want to puke.
I donate all the time, certainly I am not Daddy Warbucks, but when I find a secular charity I find worthy, be it cloths, food or money, I chip in what I can. This idiot blew 3 million because they think Jesus is real and by doing that they'll get a front row seat at the everlasting concert.
If you look at the ambulances in both Palistine or Isreal, what do the EMT's do? Do they kill, or do they help the injured? Their mistake ON BOTH SIDES is putting their gang symbol on the ambulance, when the gang symbol has absolutley nothing to do with doing the right thing.
Even if I won that kind of money, I too, would not keep most of it. I would save enough to put into a CD and live of the interest of that. The rest I would give to family friends and charity. BUT, to assign such a good deed to a fictional being is absurd, because in every nation around the world you can find people doing those kinds of things REGARDLESS of their pet delusions.
This moron thinks money is the most important thing to a character who in the bible knocked over the merchant carts because of man's obsession for money?
"A fool in his heart says their is no God." The holely babble.
I like what P.T. Barnum once said, "There's a sucker born every minute".

What a waste. You know he's thinking he'll get on God's good side and get moved to the front of the line for kissing God's ass. Oh, well, I've heard stranger things, like old ladies giving their entire savings and estate to their cats. Some people become millionaires overnight and a few years later, wind up poorer than ever and in huge debt because they didn't know how to deal with money. At least this guy won't be any worse off than if he hadn't won the money at all, and I'm sure his church will take care of whatever needs he might have (or I hope so, anyway).
