Wow, that was such an infuriating interview! Heaven only knows what this man's point was. I've never heard anyone talk in such a roundabout and nebulous way.
On the fabled resurrection of Jesus Christ he said "It's not something that could have been filmed...not something so trivial that it could be grasped by human eyesight...". He calls reality "mundane" (which may explain the monotony of his voice). He implies that we can only experience a small part of the whole of reality, which is true, that's something physicists have known for a while, that there are sounds we can't hear, wavelengths of light we cannot see. But he then says that religious events are so supernatural that they cannot even in principle be witnessed, not even with, say, a special supernatural-viewing camera, inaccessible to scientific inquiry. Reggie then asked the perfect question:"how are we going to discuss something that's intangible ?", that made me laugh.

If nothing else, this interview with Mr. Haught highlights religion's attempt to comply with our ever growing understanding of nature. God and religion are ever being shoved deeper into the recesses of the imagination, whence they came from to begin with.
It’s laughable and sad in a way that men as bright as Mr. Haught are still caught up in this vicious attempt at justifying belief in the supernatural.
