I've been listening to the show for a few months, and I really like it. Now, I have an idea for a show topic.
Some of the previous material indirectly deals with ways in which atheism/secularism and strong central government have been historically linked. I have also detected twinges of socialist/leftist leanings among some of the guests, and at times, even among some of IG's comments (although I may have been mistaken).
However, I think that atheism/secularism is actually much more conducive to the libertarian principles of small government and individual freedoms/responsibilities, in its rejection of outside control over one's personal life--which includes one's economic choices. This rings especially true when you think about the similarities between mega-churches and bloated government programs.
I'd love to see a guest like Swedish economist Johan Norberg (www.johannorberg.net), who is both a libertarian (classical liberal) and a non-believer, come on the show and talk about how one view informs or compliments the other. Of course, Norberg would have to agree to do it, and he's a busy guy, but I'd really like that since he's the closest thing I have to a personal hero.
I'd be interested to know what IG thinks of this, and also if anybody else has any cool ideas for a show topic.

I would much like to see a libertarian on the show. I myself am more libertarian leaning. Liberalism =, as many people call it, is only another opposite of freedom. Liberals would outlaw guns and restrict the free market and throw money at social problems to make them go away. The right is no better. Neoconservatives want to outlaw drugs and want to moralize the nation through gay marriage bans and Christianity.
