Is it just me? Or have you guys noticed a huge trend by many pro-theist videos on youtube, a constant disabling of comments? They do NOT want their ideas challenged? They are so used to preaching that a rational discourse or direct statements of opposition are intolerable to them.
It's the weirdest thing.
Yet.. for many of the videos that argue for atheism and/or argue for naturalism and evolution, they allow comments.
Why do you think this is? |

Heh, try leaving a comment on a Ken Ham site. Answersingenesis cannot stand up to critical thinking and the evidence science has that proves them wrong.
Youtube should not have that option. If you cannot stand up for your view, you should not be allowed to post. |

One thing that gives me hope is damn near every theist post has a low rating and rational posts have higher ones. This seems pretty consistent. When comments are allowed theists get their asses handed to them. I have absolutely no doubt; the number of closet atheists out there would blow the minds of evangelical Christians. There is a high number of atheists on Youtube. For now we rule the net……..one day we will rule the WORLD!

I still stand by the statement, "The majority of those that do not BELIEVE in evolution, cannot even DEFINE evolution" |

Once you expose their deity as being in the same class as Santa and Minervia and Thor, just like a child finding out that Santa isnt real, they stick their fingers in their ears and say, "It makes me feel good, I cant hear you, I dont want to hear you, I cant be wrong".
Not weird to me, unfortunatly quite typical. Ego serves as part of our evolutionary process. Unfortunatly the side effect is that far to many people dont understand that egos can often lead to missfires "bad guesses" that they cling to.
Dawkins explains this missfire quite well in The God Delusion as a moth who normally guides itself by natural light but will mistake a lighbulb for the moon and fly into it. |

I have a hard time staying on theist forums and sites for any length of time. I seem to only be able to manage a few weeks of critical response before the leaders of forums start removing my posts and eventually removing my membership.
On GOPUSA site, they actually contacted my employer and tried to get me fired for posting inflammatory content ( a rational response to imbeciles that were freaking out about the Kitzmiller V Dover decision. )
Good thing I was self-employed at the time. |

Brian nailed it.
Stick your fingers in your ears and run in circles chanting.
That and to allow atheists to comment would be a sin. |

In addition to these more cynical ideas it is just a likely that many times Christians are wanting to eliminate crude language from comments. For many it is a violation of their religious convictions. Unfortunately many comment sections on YouTube quickly go down that path and there are lots of Christians who would not send people to their video if the comments were peppered with F-bombs so they just choose to eliminate the option all together. |

VenomFangX is the funniest. He censors (or at least did the last time I looked, which was almost a year ago now) almost any comment that doesn't go out of its way to suck his dick. I'm convinced that most of the commenters are sock puppets, which is further evidenced by the fact that he turns off ratings as soon as a few people five his videos. |

Didn't Venomguy even post a video admitting that he was fluffing up his own ratings and ruthlessly censoring less than complimentary feedback?
Blessed are the meek, baby! |

Good point. That is very possible and likely.
Also there are going to be times when somebody simply wants to share a video or a blog without comments. |

This is a very good point. I suppose the best way to test this theory would be to find creationist videos where everyone is behaving. That is very unlikely however. It's a rather convenient cover, but a good possibility. Thanks for sharing. |

One group blocked me and kicked me off their subscribe list for making arguments against their videos. |
