I have made arrangements with the Absinthe Lounge in Dallas to have a skeptical movie shown with a talk. The Absinthe Lounge is a bar, and we are encouraged to buy drinks.
Are there any North Texans on the board who want to know more, or help with the final phase of organizing this.
I am a CFI student leader, and I am working with the North Texas Skeptics as well to promote this.
I am sponsoring this event with my podcast.
Anybody out there from North Texas?

My friend from high school is an atheist, as well as a bartender at the Absinthe Lounge, so it is cool that they are hosting this event.
I would definitely like to know more, though, with a ten-month old son, I can't commit to helping plan anything.
Which movie ya showin'?

I was really surprised when I found out about your friend, I just solicited the Absinthe Lounge because it is sincerely my favorite Dallas bar, when they told me they were fellow atheists I nearly crapped my pants.
The movie we're showing is Marjoe, its a documentary about faith healers, it was endorsed by Daniel Dennet in "Breaking the Spell."
I hope you get a chance to make it, but I will understand if you cant
