'Eternals' and 'infinities' are things we can definitely never observe or prove actually exist, although they may. Speculation about something being 'infinite' or 'eternal' can never be more than speculation.
'Indefinitely large', 'having no known or knowable bounds', this is as much as we can honestly say. True infinity is a different thing again.

Well put. I ended up learning all of that while earning a math degree. Before I learned about it I hadn't thought about it really. It sure is fun to speculate about!
