The solar explanations just don't cut it. The upper atmosphere is cooling and nighttime temperatures are faster than daytime temperatures. No solar model has been able to account for these facts, but the commonly accepted greenhouse model does.

I agree with your conclusion here. However, I'd still be in favor of replacing them even if they were of infinite supply. In a way, rising oil prices (reducing supplies) makes me somewhat happy. I find it sad and frustrating the main reason most people would consider not using fossil fuels would be because of cost/supply. Combusted fossil fuels are probably one of the most unhealthy toxic compounds we’re exposed to on a large scale.
