I know Reggie from his discription of events was from is perspective not such a positive thing. There certianly Christians whom he admits said afterwards, "I never knew people treated you like that?"
Certainly the couple who will be portrayed on this new episode will be shreded to peices as well. Media unfortunatly is set up on mass radio and tv to create a "hero vs villian" story.
BUT, I do have to say this. Reggie's braveness is not forgotten nor Ambers. It is unfortunate that maybe all of the advice we gave them in weighing the outcome wasnt enough to rethink doing it.
It is with regret that I did myself advise Reggie to do this. However he also mustint lose site that although it didnt produce a disired result it is not lost on people who are hesitiant on comming out of the closet as atheists. We shouldnt look at this as a failure as much as an oportunity to bring people here to sites like this that give us a human face.

Your presidence and the atheists before you is making the movement larger. WE OWE YOU OUR THANKS to how you have put yourself out there for us. THANK YOU!
My advice to this new couple is I hope they understand that they WILL get harsh and needless crap thrown at them. But like Reggie they should also know that there ARE TONS OF PEOPLE that do and will support you both atheist and theist.
The past cannot be changed but dispite all pitfalls and setbacks everything is STILL moving forward.
Reggie, please do not forget that it is amongst all other things good and bad, YOU ARE A BIG PART OF WHY ATHEISTS ARE NOW BEING LISTEND TO AND TAKEN SERIOUSLY ON A NATIONAL SCALE!
Even if you gave all this up tommorow, you have helped set the stage for a brighter future for freethought. Never forget the history you helped bring about. YOU ARE THE REASON many of us can proudly and openly say, "I dont think that claim is true".
