Hi everyone
I found this place when I attempted to go to the old site and blog about all of the things that have been going on in my life. I hope all of you are doing well. I'm currently 9 months pregnant and craving schlotzkys deli (which sucks as I recently moved from Los Angeles to New York and there are no schlotzkys delis out here - nor are there any In-N-out burgers either) Anyways just thought I'd say hi
Have a good one

Hi 1angel,
Glad to see you here!
This moving is a mess and the blogs were tossed out so I wondered if we would ever find out how baby "comes" out!
I have followed your blog a few times a month ever since you started it because I wanted you to have the happiness of the new baby since it was something you desire so much.
Ok, ok, maybe it is mostly females such as myself that want to know details so do let us know if you would on either this forum or the one that pr126 mentions or both, what happens when you can get back after delivery.
Gadzooks I've been through all of the other details in your blog, it is only fair to hear the rest |

Thanks pr126 I will definitely be following that link.
Shasha I will be back and let you know how my delivery goes. It's a scheduled c-section in 6 days on Monday December 4th - unless of course my water breaks first. I am dilated to 4 and 60% effaced so I am a little concerned that I may not make it 6 more days. I am of course terrified and get a stomach ache just thinking about being cut open. I have all sorts of irrational fears - that there will be something wrong with the baby (even though he looks perfectly healthy on ultrasound), that I'll die on the operating table, that my spinal won't wear off, that I'll bleed too much, that my placenta will be accreta, that my uterus won't cooperate by contracting enough afterwards, and the list goes on. I'm sure I'm driving my husband nuts with my constant worrying. I have all the confidence in modern medicine but still I feel scared, nervous and anxious about the whole thing. |

These are very good times to have babies.
I'm going to think positive that all will go well since that is what the doctors have been thinking.
It sounds like you have a terrific husband also. I have confidence from all that you have shared that the odds are very very much in your favor of everything being perfect with your son and you.
Until then be happy, the time is here |

Hi 1angel!
I'm about three days old here. I like your signature. Best wishes with your newborn and your family. |

Hi Ame. Happy to hear your pregnancy, in all it's cecarian placenta uside-down-cakyness, is still spelling out promise so close to B-day.
When Daniel Dennet couldn't attend the beyondbelief conference earlier this year (which I so happened to watch online recently, and that's why it comes to mind), he wrote a message to the conference's participants from his hospitalbed (the reason why he couldn't come was a heartattack), in which he noted that medicine is one field of the human landscape, where a strong science-based morality can indeed be found and at the most profound level, because it's where decissions concerning life and death are made daily, based on nothing less than thorough investigation. And when he says "thank goodness" that's the goodness he's referring to.
As you know I'm not a man for prayers, but leaving you in the hands of 'goodness' I'm sure that you'll be starting the coming week as a mommy of more. May goodness prevail. |
