GREETINGS,
I changed my screen name from what it was to this. I only did because I like Ancient Egypt and Anubis who is called Yinepu in Mdu Ntr (The Egyptian Language).
And yes I know Ancient Egypt is filled with fictional stories of mythology. Anubis just seems like a better archetype.

What denomination? Just curious since your theology was definitely not mainstream. |

Well it's really interesting: I come from the Missionary Baptist denomination. No one there (as far as I know) was dealing with the Bible as I have. That's just all me. |

One of my last gasp efforts to remain a Christian when I was struggling with my faith (Bible church, Calvanist, Young Earth Creationist), was to attempt to "Read the bible for myself" and get my "own meaning" from it. It turned out to be crap in the end, but it was a valient effort on my part I guess. At the time, the more I read it, the less likely it seemed that it was actually God's inspired word.
When I was challenging your theology in one of the other threads, it was to let you know that when you just read the bible at face value, there is no way that you could get what you were getting out of it. In my opinion, you had already given up on the bible and were trying to get something extra special out of it that just wasn't there. But please correct me if I'm wrong. |

Yeah I was trying to see if I could make the bible valid for me. I see that it is still absurd to even try what I was trying. I am against external worship of a non-seen spook/ spirit. |

This is interesting. What can you do for people, and what is it you want in return? |
