I cannot access any shows at all in the past three weeks. each time i try i get the following error message:
Site error: the file /www/infidelguy/modules/Digital_Shop/lib/init.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator

Daredevil, I understand what you're saying - I've been a loyal subscriber for about 2 years now and have always enjoyed the feeling that I was supporting something worthwhile. However, as dollhog pointed out this has been going on for quite a while now, there have been multiple threads about it in the forum, and I know people have been sending Reggie emails about it, apparently without any response as far as I can tell. If there were some indication from Reggie that he is aware of the issue and working on it, that would be one thing, but it's kind of starting to look like he's no longer maintaining the site since his announcement that he is leaving the show.
I mean, I know Reggie has gone through some major changes in his life in the past few years, and if he's decided that it's time for the site as we know it to come to an end, I'm sure he has his reasons. He's done a lot for this community even when it was difficult for him, and I don't think anyone will begrudge him the right to move on, or take an extended break, or whatever he feels is right for him and his family.
At the same time I don't think you can really expect people to keep subscribing to a service after it becomes unavailable and the person providing it becomes unreachable for an extended period of time. I mean, if he's very sick or had some sort of major emergency that might be different, but judging from the announcement on the front page it looks more like a planned departure / hiatus, and in that case we need to be made aware of what Reggie plans to do so we can make that decision. |

The sad thing is the problem is most likely due to a simple error in the code and could probably be fixed without to much difficulty. I really hate to see Reggie loose what he's worked so hard to build, but someone does need to be on top of these things for "this" to remain viable. I'd offer to do it for him (no charge) but I'm almost clueless when it comes to website maintenance... I suppose I could learn quickly. |

That's been the problem with my site for years. I just cannot find a stable expert to help... nor can I hire someone of the calibre we need to take IG to the next level. Everybody that has offered to help as eventually quit on me.... some even IF I paid them. I am no computer expert and with my schedule, I'll never become one. My entire site needs a serious overhaul.. but I have no idea what to do, especially without the funds. With no money, and with more people unsubscribing, the worse it gets. Catch 22. This might be the end. I don't know. |

My apologies.... I am talking with the server guy. Hopefully he can figure out what's going on. However, he's asking me questions! Which I find odd. |

Yeah, I imagine it is really difficult running an operation like this these days, especially since most people have gotten used to content on the web being free. Not to mention the economy. Since it's being looked into I'll keep my subscription going for a while longer though, and hopefully things will get worked out. Like MG said, it doesn't look like a huge issue - just like that .so file got deleted or moved to the wrong directory by accident, or something like that. |

The server owner was nice enough to install ioncube. I think he upgraded the servers and ioncube wasn't part of the package or something. Thanks everyone for being so patient. |
