That's why I keep responding to your posts, COBW. I have seen you respond positively to logic and reason before. You reverted back to blind faith and irrational beliefs, but I see you coming around again. It's a struggle. I know it is. I was there.
Best of luck, sir. Hopefully we can one day adress each other as "friend". Until then, I'll try to help you when I can and refrain from cursing you when I get frustrated with the BS. Fair enough?
Fair enough.
Cool.
Hey, are you editing your website(s) or something? I keep getting an error when I try to visit nationofholiness.org or centerofbaptistworship.org. I was trying to see if you had updated them at all.
I will be updating www.centerofbaptistworship.org but i have to wait until i get my new credit card because the old one expired. It'll be back up with some things I have been thinking about as far as religious belief Vs. absolute knowledge is concerned.
I have to wait a few days for the card because the company won't give me the security code for the new card over the phone.
I have my writings saved on my computer, so that site will just be right up as soon as I get the card.
Thanks for your interest.

Yeah, no prob.
To be honest, I skipped right over the anti-woman-preacher stuff, but I've checked back a few times to see if there was any new material.
But you were right about woman preachers. According to the bible, that shouldn't happen. I'm just glad you're expanding the site to the area of free thought (hopefully) as opposed ot biblical dogmatism.

You might check into the Hebrew word for "friend" first.

My website is up now. Tell me what you think. I don't think it is dogmatic like it was before. I am not like saying: I KNOW GOD EXIST. I am taking the position of not know God exist but just believing He exist.

From a Christian perspective, the picture of Anubis is off-topic, misleading, and potentially offensive (to Christians).

This is about a revelation that God has given me for where He will put me as far as having my own ministry. So welcome to the revelation that is “Center of Baptist Worship”. Anyone can join the “Center of Baptist Worship”. I just want to let you know that this ministry is targeting African Americans...
Describe the revelation. Was it a really strong feeling? A vision? A dream? Did God talk to you?
On your website, when you say "God", what is God? The aliens again, or God?
From a web design perspective, you may want to categorize your writings, such as "Who are we", "What we believe", "How to join", "Where we meet", etc. The current text has the look and feel of a lot of free-assocation, and I wasn't quite sure where you were going with it.
So that's what I think. Hope you appreciate constructive critism

Ironically, it’s the same society that has turned your current god concept into the masculine “He”. Most of the original African anthropomorphic gods were feminine. It just goes to show how social norms dictate religious belief.

Proverbs 1:20
Wisdom crieth without; She uttereth Her voice in the streets. . .
Ezra7:25
And thou, Ezra, after the Wisdom of thy God, that [is] in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that [are] beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know [them] not.
Wisdom is the Feminine aspect of God. So I don't care what society has said about God just being a "He" if we are made in God's image both male and female then a woman would have to have God's image and thus God would be Goddess to her.
I only quoted scripture to show my position, not a means of conversion at all. That's no longer my purpose. My purpose is just to believe what I want and if someone wants to believe the same they are welcomed to.
As far as what I have written on my website the reason why it is written so freely is because I want everything to be read. That is the same reason why the chapters will have no title. All of the book is not going to be on there. That's the reason for the "buy now" button.
Thanks for visiting my site though.

I checked out your site. I liked the first chapter. Nice work.
A few constructive criticism:
1. God doesn't exist... Just kidding (not really, but I just thought it would be funny)
1. It's hard to read. Don't make me work so hard to read what you've written. You aren't Hemmingway (yet), so make it in a good font and good contrast.
2. Start setting up ways to charge people for something. You might as well tap into the billions that flow into the religious market and claim some for your own. Look at it this way, there are other "believers" who are taking money from old ladies who don't bother reading the Bible in the original language, they just give their "feel good" opinion and cash the check. Your educated view is worth much more than theirs, and the old ladies would get more value for their dollars by reading your stuff. (perhaps) (I'm on a small business forum, so I can't help offering ways to improve people's business, even if its a hobby).

I do charge for a book I am writing. . .it's on the beginning of the page. I'm going change the font color like I changed the logo and the color of the logo. The only thing on that site right now will be pieces of my book, if you want the rest of the book you'll have to order it. That's the only way I'm charging for the usage of my site.
Thanks for the suggestion(s) though. I am going to add a donation button too after I write this.

All aspects of god are aspects of the human mind, or what humans wish they could be. My point was, if it wasn’t for this culture that has abused and in the past enslaved the African (I assume you’re one by reading a small amount of your website) you’d still probably be calling your concept of god a “She”. You have taken up this westernized version of religion as if it was your own, when it fact it was this culture, with its religion, that abused the African. It actually used these same religious concepts and texts to justify the abuse.

Seems like a marginally healthy attitude, with the exception of the part about "believing what you want". I get the feeling you believe what you want strickly for emotional reasons, which in my opinion isn't a good reason to believe anything.

I do not wish to be the "God" of the Bible. How can I be the "God" that I worship? This culture did not enslave the so called African (the Biblical culture). It was the English settler that did that. And long before the English settlers Egyptians enslaved people, and Arabs did the same. So I think you are mis-informed. African Cultures have a dual gender concept of God. That's She and He not just She. People keep on saying the Christian religion is western. That's incorrect. All the things in the bible took place in the East not the west. And it is my own religion because I have made it my own. People use the bible the way they want to, but that doesn't make it right. There are atheists who use atheism to justify killing people (i.e the Columbine murders asked two Christian girls if they were Christian, they said yes and got killed). So please do not use that as a means of proof that religion is wrong.

You are assuming too much. I could assume you do not believe in God because you got mad at Him for not doing what you want thus you denied His existence. That would be wrong and the obvious claim of any theist. I have NEVER done that on this site though. So why do you claim I believe in God for emotional reasons? I believe in God because there is no evidence to prove He doesn't exist.

First of all you missed the point totally. You quoted part of what I said (so I am including the whole thing and the original post that led me to the response), not the whole thing. I knew that would happen but that's cool. I did not say that I believe atheists do this. The point I was making is that I could justify myself with that notion. I see you want to make me look negative, and that's cool if that is your motive but I just want you to know I have nothing against atheists. In fact I believe God made you an atheist (if you are one) anyway.
While I am at it, how do you know that is an urban myth? We have different eye witness accounts. How do you determine which is true and which is fake? The easy answer is that you can't unless you were there. Neither one of us were there, thus you would either need a video/ audio of the killers and victim to prove it. Or you would have to believe it.

Howdy COBW,
I just wanted to point out that what you just wrote here is called a logical fallacy.
You see, by that logic, I would have to believe every claim that was ever made.
For example, "The ghost of JFK came to my house and told me I was a fag"
Can you prove he didn't? The easy answer is that you can't unless you were there. You weren't there, so you would need a video or something to prove it wasn't true. Or, you would have to believe it.
Just thought you would appreciate the lesson in logic.
The actual logical stance would be to look at the current evidence and make logical deductions with what evidence we do have. Hmmm... It doesn't seem likely that JFK would do that, especially since nobody has ever documented or demonstrated a ghost in any way... Well, what evidence is there? Videotape? No...well how about tape recording? No? Nothing? Well, given what we know about the natural world and given the fact that there has never, ever, ever been a documented ghost before, ever...You would have to remain "agnostic" towards my JFK experience. And if you, personally, didn't believe that it happened, then you would lack belief in my JFK experience. Making you an A-JFK's-ghostist

It isn't just a logical fallacy....
We do have witnesses as to what happened. None of them say anything like the urban legend. So if they didn't get the story from an eyewitness account, where did it come from? Oh yea thats right, someone made it up.
