I met someone some time ago at work a few years ago who was black and told me he was an atheist. I told him about Infidel Guy and Rational Responders. We exchanged information as far as e-mails and websites. Nothing came of it. The e-mails and websites he gave me lead me to things I did not expect and were not even close to being related.
I let it go, not knowing what was going on. Just today his dad came in and in years past asked me if I had contacted his son. I told him each time I didn't understand why we were not connecting.The guy in my PM's just today who goes by the name "Right_where_it_belongs" just PM'd me years after the fact when he could have made an introduction at any time which I would have read and responded to.
My question is why all this time? Why if you are an atheist, considering that the internet doesn't demand your personal address or real name, did it take you 3 years to post.
I find it odd that your first contact with me after all this time is in a PM when you could have given me a public shout out without giving either of our personal info.
Now is your chance. No one is expecting you to post your social security number or your real name. I am merely miffed, considering how happy you were to meet a fellow atheists, why I didn't see a shout out to me on Infidel Guy's website a day or so later, and considering how busy you said you were at the time, I gave you a week. I did spend a week trying to figure out why the info you gave me was bogus?
Let everyone here know who you are and that we met at my place of work. You don't have to give details or any personal info. Just say, "Yea I met Brian at his place of work, and I don't know why all this confusion happened". |

"Yea I met Brian at his place of work, and I don't know why all this confusion happened" - Actually my man it is a funny thing because my Dad always ask if I responded to you or got in touch on this website every year they go for the golf trip...I have not been in three years, which is why I have not seen you. No conspiracy here, just a simple time shift that it took a while for me to respond back. To be honest I would call myself more agnostic than atheist, but with tendencies to doubt.
I will definitely have to be on the golf trip next year so I can personally apologize to you for not communicating for so long.
But hey I am here now and love the show. So we will talk soon. Sorry I missed your messages last week, but I will log in regularly in the future. |
