Based on this meager evidence, I doubt he's a racist. He lost control in anger and hit them where it hurt. The things the guy in the audience was saying were pretty hurtful too. THAT word is a hard word to deal with and carries so much baggage. |

what we never hear is what the guys were saying before he lost it. so this evidence sucks anyways because we never get to hear what initially sets him off. |

I always found the guy odd, and not very funny. |

Well no matter what set him off, saying stuff like that is idiotic and unexcusable. |

He's pretty much the only member of the Seinfled crew that really didn't have much of a career or anything to speak of after the show ended. I feel sorry for him because he will never break out of the Kramer role. But I'm sure he has plenty of money, so.
As for the outburst, yeah it was kind of shocking, but only in the way like, wow.. this is what's happened with Kramer? If it was any other white guy, nobody would've cared.
Which brings me to another point. Look at a comedian like Chris Rock. That guy has to be one of the most racist comedians I've ever seen. Nobody thinks anything of it. He calls white people crackers and constantly makes fun of them. Nobody cares. When a white guy does the same thing, roles reversed, it's fucking heresy. I really hate that hypocrasy. If you want equal rights, you need to be criticized for being racist just like everybody else (warranted or not).
As for the apology, I didn't really buy it. First off, it looks like he's coming down off 5 gallons of coke. Second, Jerry is sitting there telling the audience "It's not funny." Talk about awkward. This coming from a guy who we've almost never seen one serious stroke. Never had one of those "very special" Seinfeld episodes. The next season of his DVD is coming out soon, and I think it's safe to say he feared "Kramer's" racist outburst might hurt sales, so he had him do this.
Anyways yeah.. |

he's always been a loose canon though. thats where the character kramer came from. i just dont know what to think about the outburst. you could tell he knew he lost it after that 2nd toss back and forth, but again, who knows how mean those black guys were being to him before that camera started rolling. i think the crowd was proving though how off the wall he was getting. everyone started getting up and leaving. glad i dont have to do a career where i'm infront of everyone... |

He went off at a heckler, way off, and went too far. It is one thing to make jokes, in good fun, but it is another to personally attack an audience member to the point of insulting the way he looks. |

He's got enough money to say and do whatever he wants, "nigger" is barely an offensive term to me anymore it's so over used / over reacted towards by non-blacks, then minorities and blacks turn it around and start protests and riots over the word they use to describe themselves in a different context... then they go out and buy jeans 10 sizes to big, wear bomber jackets and doo rags, and demand respect from white collar america, give it a rest. If he had come out and done that whole rant as a SKIT no one would be talkin about it, but since he lashed out at some idiot in the audience, it's national news *yawn*
ever heard of shock value?
I also found it hilarious last night in the news that the reporter goes "And Michael richards has been banned for life from that comedy club"
then it goes to the owner and he says " he will be banned until he appologizes"
LOL! no shit buddy, the guy brings in more people in 1 night then you probably get in a month, of course your not gonna ban him just because who he is. |

Well yeah, he personally attacked an audience member, to the point of being overly racist in a non-joking way, even Richards admits he went way over the top, and he says he is "deeply sorry". If you watched his appearance on Letterman you can tell he feels terrible for this, because it was not part of a skit, it was a personal attack on an audience member. |

ya know.. someone made a good point. chris rock says the N word and cracker all the time. but when a white guy uses these slangs, they make people get up outta their seats.
i think the difference then is clear. he went directly at someone, to a personal level. so yea, thats really the difference.. BUT i have seen chris pick someone out and call them a white cracker too. does it just matter what skin color you are? thats a little ridiculous if you ask me... |

Password doesn't match (yes it does you fucking piece of software. I NEVER get that message)
That username is already taken
Password doesn't match (bite me)
And everytime I have to type out those numbers and letters to confirm I'm not a robot, AND uncheck that offer to receive their junkmail.
THAT is why I hate having to open new accounts! |

Because it's not just about the money contrary to popular belief. Some people (like me) get a kick out of preforming, and that's a kick money can't buy. |
