It's things like this that convince me that Jesus (or whoever Jesus is based on) was the leader of an apocalyptic cult. The apocalypse did not happen, as none prophesied ever have.
That is for sure! I just learned that Randell Helms has "The Bible against itself" coming out. It shows how different writers looked on matters from different viewpoints- why the contradictions.Tim Callahan's two books on the evil book are excellent.

Mark 13:1-4. "As he was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, 'Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!' 'Do you see all these great buildings?' replied Jesus. 'Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.' As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately, 'Tell us, when will these things happen?'"
Titus destroyed the temple in 70 A.D.

Easy to write that, considering the NT books were ALL written AFTER 70AD. I could write a book now, set it in 1995, and say the World Trade Center will be no more come 2002. It's called hindsight, silly.
