Greetings! I hate introduction topics, so I'll keep this one brief.
I'm Eon. I'm from the UK; I was born and raised in Nottingham in England, but I'm currently living and studying at university in Stirling, Scotland.
I've been an outspoken atheist since I was about seven or eight years old, but I don't have a de-conversion story. The only time I ever did in any sense believe in a god of any kind was when I was far too young to question such ideas (and when I also believed in Santa Claus), so it'd be a mistake to say that I was ever a Christian or that I really
believed
per se.
I've participated in theological 'debates' on internet forums since I was about fifteen or sixteen years old and I first learnt of the Infidel Guy, unfortunately, through that dreadful episode of Wife Swap, which was on over here about two or three years ago. It wasn't until last year that I found out more about Reginald Finley, the show, and the website and decided to investigate.
I've been procrastinating over whether or not to join the forum recently, since I haven't had much interest in forums at all lately. Too many fights and too much hatred between members for my liking. Also, coursework really takes it out of you.
Anyways, that kind of just tapered off and I'm trying to keep this short, so I'll leave it there. The best way to get to know me is to talk to me. So, hello everyone!

Seven or eight? THAT young? Over here, you're lucky to be so by 15. You must not have had a very religious family.

That's not usually the case here, unless we get somebody who comes in here and spams the site with crap about Nostradamus. Most of the members here are generally very friendly.

My grandmother is a devout Roman Catholic, but apart from that my family is not at all religious, though few of them would come out and call themselves atheists. And my grandmother, as devout as she may be, does not try to preach or to impose her beliefs upon anyone else in the family. In fact, about the only religious thing you ever really find her doing is making sure she manages attend a church (any church) every Sunday no matter where she is.
