Why do you think infidel guy is going off air.
In my opinion it is because like everybody else, who moves to power of one form or another, infidel guy only listens to his own oppinion.
I expect this post will get deleted because you do not really want free thought any more than Bilderberg wants communism.
When I posted my thoughts and answers on this forum ,they were deleted. They were my oppinion and not those of the moderators. There was no foul language, no racism. Nothing to break rules of conformity. Just my oppinion.
On only one occasion I swore during a social intercourse out of frustration and to emphasise a point. But that is free thought, like it or not. If people are offended by profanitys then they can turn away.
Your show nor your forums offer free thought. They offer what is widely accepted and nothing else.
I for one am glad you are going.
AAhhh no no no ,bully for you, you might have to work for a living?? |

You feel better now after that post? Were you looking to make a point or just rant like troll? If you knew anything about free thinkers, you would understand that they respond to logical arguments. If you think IG is being single-minded in some way, bring it up and give an example. He seems like the kind of person who is open to revising his stance. Most people here (I for one) are on a continuous journey of revising their own thoughts and beliefs as we acquire more knowledge.
I for one have listened to many interviews and debates where IG clearly took the side of the religious debater for presenting a valid argument and times where he pointed out faulty logic in an argument against religion. This in itself is proof of his open-mindedness. |

Before I say something to someone (especially online), I usually try really hard to ask myself if what I'm about to say is true, kind and necessary. If I don't, I usually end up just looking like a jerk.
I don't think most people would ever consider Reggie to be in a position of "power", nor overly opinionated. His contribution to freethought audio on the internet goes back way before there was anything else like it on the net or in mass media at all. I've listened to hundreds of hours of his programming, and his list of guests is impressive, varied and diverse. His interviewing style has always been refreshing - he's always lets them share their own point of view rather than push his own opinion on them.
For me, "working" for a living seems only to ever have meant slogging away 50 hours a week at a job I really don't enjoy when I should be spending 20 of those hours with my family. I for one wish I could have the courage to do like Reggie did and ditch my "work" in order to follow a passion instead. I hope he finds a way to turn things around and keep it up. We need every bit of skeptical media we can manage, especially over here in North America where the airwaves are constantly dripping with religious woo woo. |

Only if atheism and free-thought was widely accepted. No, for the most part the citizens of this planet are mindless, superstitious drones to their dogmatic religious/nationalistic beliefs. The people that reject these notions are by far in the minority. |

Uh, IG said why he might have to go off the air--lack of Gold Memberships and donations because so many people have been laid off from their jobs and can't afford to donate any more. The economy sucks, thanks to that fuckhead who calls himself President. It takes money to keep websites and radio shows going, and if the money isn't there, then the endeavor can't continue. |

first of all this post hasn't been deleted.
second of all infidelguy doesn't have direct political power just the right to free speech. The fact that he hasn't deleted your post implys he's giving you the right to use his forum for your speech. just by not deleting your post he proved it wrong |

He's tried to find work. And I bet that the commitment and effort that he has to make and the little cash he reaps from it is a lot tougher than 'working'. |

I suppose we all entitled to our own opinions including infidelbilly. All I will say there must have been a good reason for delete infidelbillly emails. There comes a time when one can be so offence that it distracts from the argument one is trying to make. One doesn’t need to be offence to make good a argument for your own opinions
As a new comer to IG, I do hope Infidelguy manages to keep the GI going, because I find it intriguing in the range of topics you find here and the wide range of opinions.
Good Luck infidelguy |

I did not say anything about political power.
I do not work, because I do not believe in the work ethic. (Thats a whole other topic, please do not reply here, take a quote and start a new topic?)
My deleted topic was around this time last year.
I spoke about Christmas being (bloody) fake. I spoke about parents making wooden toys and not jusy "buying" in christmas.
Taking both sides of an argument by "wearing different hats!?" is not free thought. Thats entertainment. Arguing for both sides of a religious debate is not free thought (wake up!) its just entertaining the masses.
MockingGods, you think atheism is a minority group? I think you are wrong there. |

I fail to see how this is true. |
