One can only hope that Sylvia Browne is finished can't they? Many believe Ms. Browne's career of lies, deceit and probably even self-deception is coming to an end. But is it? I'm not so sure. When Peter Popoff can get busted for deceiving his congregation, and the world, and still come back. It truly makes you loose all faith in Evidence and Truth. It seems most assuredly that true believers in pseudo-science and fairy-tales, care nothing for the truth. The truth, sometimes called Reality, is what's most important to Truth-seekers.. not so much for the followers of Benny Hinn, Sylvia Browne, Peter Popoff and the like. Even if Sylvia slithers away, she'll be back. Probably with the aid of some crappy cable television network that needs a few bucks.. like say.. I dunno.. BET. BET (Black Entertainment Television) is responsible, in my mind, for the return of Peter Popoff actually. They would probably help aid Sylvia's career if it would garner more viewers.What needs to happen is more accountability for the claims these tricksters make. It's time to start suing these bastards. If you diagnose a medical condition, goddammit you better be right. Doctors can get sued, so should these hucksters. If you tell someone their cancer is in remission, goddammit, it better be in remission.
People like this are dangerous. They do make people feel better psychologically for a little while.. but they are lying to them... and as such.. putting them in harms way. Such as John Edward. This dude.. Oh My No God! He is totally screwing up memories of loved ones. He creates new stories for these people and they believe him. Sigh. But I digress.
If only more people knew about cold reading, hot reads, etc. As many of you know... I used to be a psychic for the psychic network. So.. I know how it's done. Learned first hand.
Anyway.. I'm simply ranting.. but this is what's been on my mind. I hope we truly make an all out effort to start suing these assholes. Many people are afraid because they think their icons might get hurt, or that God might get angry. Shouldn't we be more concerned at the harm these people are doing? Speak up ya'll. If you've been "had" by any of these hacks. File a lawsuit. Put their feet to the fire!
A Note to Sylvia Browne:
Sylvia Browne. You have been wrong so many times it's amazing that you are still in business. I can make better predictions than you, I can repair relationships better than you, my clarvoiance is better than yours.. hell I can even talk to the dead better than you, and I'm not psychic! .. and neither are you.I hope you go down real soon. You are hurting humanity. How do you look at yourself in the mirror everyday and fool yourself into believing you are doing good for humanity. If you truly wish to help the world, expose people to the farce that it is! Be my heroine Sylvia and try to make amends. Tell the world the truth about how easy they are fooled. You can still be a heroine to millions around the world by simply telling them the truth.
You can even write an awesome book about all of this. I'd buy it, provided you give the proceeds to the many families you've hurt.
Do you have the courage? The heart? To finally tell the truth?
