I have about 100 stories like these.. but I think I'll start posting a few from time to time. People often ask me what good are my shows and websites doing. Well.. read below. Thank you B., for taking the time out to write!

I’m sure you get a lot of emails and messages, but I wanted to thank you for all you are doing to free the rational mind from religious mysticism. I started listing to your show about a year ago off and on. I was a devout Christian. I devoted 7 years of my life to Christianity and trying to defend it. I studied in apologetics, lead many to "Jesus" and was a licensed minister. When I started listening, my intentions were to learn new tactics to engage atheists in debate, by going "behind enemy lines" if you will. I never intended on de-converting, but I am glad that I did. I am still a "closet" atheist, but am slowly working my way out. I have talked to some close friends of mine in the ministry who are also NOW QUESTIONING Christianity themselves. I started by asking probing questions out of concern (this was my tactic that I used on them). Such as "what do we do about this..." or "How would you respond to..." I debated with them in this manner and now they (like I did) see the inconsistencies and contradictions. I taught bible studies for years and I tried to show the importance of logic and rationality. This later came to my rescue once I peeped out of the box of Christian indoctrination. Being rational helped me to “follow the evidence and arguments wherever they lead me” which was away from religion. Again, thanks for all you are doing. Your friend and team member, B. Freeman
