This Thursday @ 8PM ET.
Brian Trent will be our guest regarding the topic of Apocalyptic Beliefs and mans future. Brian Trent is a journalist, novelist, essayist, and screenwriter living in Connecticut. He has published articles in The Humanist, American Chronicle, E Pluribus Media, and Populist America.
A professional lecturer who has presented at Yale during National Banned Books Week, he is an active member of the Connecticut Humanities Council. Brian appeared on our program before discussing Hypatia of Alexandria. A show that brought me to tears (in the archives). His novel Remembering Hypatia was nominated for Book of the Year by ForeWord magazine, praised on National Public Radio's Faith Middleton Show, and featured on dozens of podcasts and discussion groups.
A fierce opponent of tyranny in any form, Trent remains committed to the classical spirit of artistic and scientific inquiry. He is a vocal champion of freedom, particularly the freedom of thought and debate. He despises political cults and religious fanaticism, though champions honest discussion and religious liberty. He is an advocate for education, science, and art.
