I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I truly want and need all of the support I can get. But sometimes, there are some people, you wish they never listened to your show in the first place.
As many of you know. I have been dealing with divorce issues, kid issues, money issues, my mother was dying on me, my health wasn't great either and yet during all of this. I still managed to put up podcasts, Richard has been recording new shows. I'm currently involved in the development of a new site design, I have 3 books I am working on. I'm doing radio interviews and print interviews, posting youtube videos and much more. Creating some other viral video stuff.
Anyway.. a "former" supporter emailed me this today. Keep in mind that I informed him that his tone and emails were simply insulting to me and that he should really reconsider how he's talking to me... and to change his tone or stop emailing me. Instead of an apology, what I got was this brutal email. I have to deal with people like this at least once a week folks. It's very trying. I am considering not answering any more emails at all after this horrible email.
You are like a little kid and have know business trying to get a site together I think you will be off the net in a year with your attitude and You have just lost a good support I really do not know why I listen to your show in the first place it takes so long to have new shows months because you are lazy and I have found another website that is going to beat the carp out of your site I am giving them money for support you will never make it because of you ego, attitude, and pride.
You are very stupid also (I didn't call him stupid, this was just extra I guess) and you stop emailing me. (He's emailing me. lol)
Now, this email was shocking to say the least. Ego? Has this guy even listened to one show? I am begging for help here. Yeah, I know I'm stoopid, I know that I'm not a business person. Pride? What? This guy has flipped. I saw the warning signs in his first few emails but I tried to at least humor the guy because he was supporter. Amazing his thinks so lowly of me after beinga fan. This is really scary. I'm almost afraid to make public appearances when I get stuff like this. He created an entire fantasy in his head about me and is attacking something that doesn't exist. In previous emails, this guy said that I am refusing help.What? I am getting dozens of emails from folks that want to help, most don't have any idea of how they can help. I give some direction and I let them sort it out. I have hundreds of emails to go through everyday.. I simply cannot focus on one guy that's busy insulting me. Ask Gotcha, my programmer. It's not as easy is he dreams.
I have been doing this for over 8 years, I have a down slump because of some serious personal issues and now I'm a piece of shit? I guess this "freethinker's" philosophy is kick a man when he's down. "Yeah, that will motivate him. Let me demand that I help him and load him with advice that he cannot practically follow right now. Then, if he says, he can't right now. Ah hah!! You don't want help!! At all, from anyone. You're an egotistical maniac!" huh?
What a jerk. Good riddance.
No, I will still be here in a year's time and even then some!
UPDATE: Just got another email from him, but I'm ignoring it. He tells me to not email him, yet he's free to email me?! Does that not sound crazy to you all? Obsessive?
